Resistance to fight opponents

No matter what kind of martial arts you are learning, have you considered how to handle an extraordinary tough opponent?

How would you cope with an opponent when your punches and kicks have no effect?
From the perspective of JKD, when encountering a tough opponent, you should think about how to break his balance and structure. If you understand the concepts of body structure, center of gravity and balance, it won't be difficult to handle this type of opponent.

In addition, there is a limitation to the toughness of the human structure. There are always some weak parts which can never be trained or reinforced. If we can't hurt him at the strong parts of his body, we can injure him at his vulnerable points. How do we get to his weak points?

The inch punch is the one of the main focuses of JKD training. From the first to the last class, we are training it. It will make a great difference if you can deliver an inch punch with pureness and   perfection. Can you apply it at the right distance and angle, and with precision? Can you penetrate your weight steadily into the contact surface? Can you accurately control the trajectory and the micromotion when you execute an inch punch?

Can you apply metal, wood, water, fire ,and earth styles to an inch punch? Can you incorporate good rhythm in your adaptation? If one can put toether all these elements, the effect of the inch punch can be strong enough to break a tough opponent.
